Beautiful gratin dish, great for pommes de terre dauphinoise, or anything you need an oven dish for - roasting vegetables. poultry or meat. This is a smashing oven to table copper oven dish.
This is a super roasting pan or au gratin pan, it has a new artisan tin and a brand new shine.
This is beautiful, fit for purpose, substantial, fabulous pan, this is a proper antique au gratin pan robust and heavy, has quality bronze handles - real old-fashioned Villedieu les Poeles heritage, made to last.
This old and well used oval gratin has a couple of issues. There are dents on the edge and on the interior rivets, there is a dent in the base, the surface is dulled, there is a drag and a raised section in the tin lining made by the Artisan tinner - this will flatten out with use. There was a linear Made in France stamp which has worn off.
All in all, this ex restaurant roasting pan is showing it's age very well.
