This is a antique French Copper 'splash lid' that is 17.5cm across ideal for an 16 or 17cm pan

Fully tinned, polished and renovated - not too much to hide it's past but enough to ensure it's future.

It is an antique item and a such will has a few signs of age, surface scratches, good new hand wiped tin, 2 solid copper rivets.

This has ripples and some undulations. It is beautifully balanced, has a swept forged iron tail and some old tin residue on the surface. There is some pitting in the surface - the tin has covered well.

It is 17cms across or 6 5/8 inches it is 33.5cm total length 13 1/4 inches it weighs 313 grams or 11.1 ozs.

This is an elegant, useful, spectacular French Copper Lid.
