This is a antique French Copper 'splash lid' that is 23 cm or 9 inches across. This is a fabulous lid with new hand wiped 100% food grade tin. It is 1.1mm copper.

Beautifully balanced with slightly swept tail

It is a 23 cm so it fits a 8-9 inch 21cm-22cm sauce pan or pot.

The handle is securely fixed with copper rivets and the patina looks stunning when light hits it. The tin lining is in excellent newly done condition.

It is an antique piece which shows wear and has surface scratches, there is a slightly wavy edge. There is a tiny split in the rim.

It is a super size and suitable for a regular domestic cooker or range but is robust enough for professional use.
