It is extremely heavy, robust and rarely found item that had already lasted generations and will last many, many more.

This pan has seen a lot of life in a Hotel kitchen, the lid is in good condition, it has a slightly wavy edge and is heavy. There is a copper handle that has been hand forged.

The pan and lid have been professionally cleaned and polished as well as having a new hand wiped tin lining. There are signs of use and wear, many, many surface scratches on the inside and scratches on the base.
There is a dented base through years of service - the pan sits flat but the base is undulating - it is more suited to a gas burner - the base will 'miss' on a flat hot surface.

These pans are usually passed down though families and businesses. They are expensive because they are amongst the best cooking utensils in the world.
